Lauren and Sark first meet in 'Prelude'. Unaware of her true allegiance, Sark gives her the intel that reveals Sydney is the killer of Russian diplomat Lazarey (Sark's father), case Lauren had been working on. They meet once again, in 'Blowback', when Sark, now aware of who Lauren really is, pays her a little visit in a clothing store's changing room.
There begins their first parternership as Sark devises a plan to gain more weight in The Covenant. As they play out the grand finale of their plan, Sark finds out that Lauren betrayed him. But instead of killing him, the big bad behind the Convenant - appreciating the initiative and resourcefulness of Sark and Lauren's loyalty, promotes them both to the leadership of the North American division of the Convenant.
